Thanks for your post.

From my test on Outlook 2016 64-bit (version 1705 8201.2200), I forward an Excel file (Made on 32-bit Excel desktop) sent past Outlook 2016 32-flake to myself (Outlook 2016 64-bit). And when I get back in Outlook Web App, I can atill preview excel attachments and chooseEdit and reply to edit the file. Please brand sure you use the right URL: https://outlook.office.com/owa/

Yes, the Windows preview host requires a 32-scrap application previewer. When 32-bit Outlook is installed, it acts as the previewer. And then do yous mean you want to edit the file while you're previewing it? Because you can still download it and edit.

Aye, the issue is editing while previewing it, which is what the user whom I am supporting is trying to do, and which I am likewise unable to do. I already gave to him the workaround of downloading the file before editing it, but wanted to know why the error is occurring.

I am using https://outlook.office.com/owa/, but the Outlook client that I am using is 2016 MSO (xvi.0.6925.1041) 64-flake.

Thanks for your answer.

You lot can change a browser to login to Outlook Web App, and check whether you tin can choose to "Edit and reply". For Outlook client, it's not feasible to edit while previewing an Excel file, we can choose to download it and edit.

Aforementioned problem here.

I endeavour chrome, IE11 , Firefox and Edge. No luck.

Excel file has been created and transport from total part version. Online email accept no problem to preview excel, but when y'all endeavor edit and respond this happening, please come across screenshot beneath. Everything works fine two weeks agone.
